Logicenters is building 36 000 m2 for Frigoscandia in Hyllinge

The new logistics property’s storage area will be 36 000 m² specially adapted for storing food in several temperature zones. The facility, which is expected to be completed in the end of 2024, will be located in Hyllinge, outside Helsingborg, in direct connection to both E4 and E6.

After the logistics real estate operator established nearly 85 000 m² of logistics in Landskrona, Logicenters continues to grow in Skåne through the new agreement with Frigoscandia.

Frigoscandia is the Nordic market leader within temperature-controlled food logistics. The new facility in Hyllinge will be the company’s largest, handling and storing food, as well as being a hub for import and export volumes.

The new 3PL center will be developed in line with Logicenters ambitious environmental profile with sustainability in focus. In addition to solar cells being installed on the roof, the ambition for the property is to be environmentally certified according to BREEAM Excellent.

“It is with pleasure that we can communicate this deal after we have worked on this project for a long time. The facility will be Frigoscandia’s future hub for southern Sweden and it feels very good that we have been able to offer this opportunity. To adapt the facility to the customer’s needs, the property will include several temperature zones, including frozen, chilled and ambient storage. The frozen section will be a total of 18,300 m² where the temperature can be lowered to -25°C. The facility will also include an office section of approximately 2,500 m² that will be Frigoscandias’ new headquarter.

Logicenters continues its major investment in solar energy

Logicenters is continuing its major investment in solar energy by signing an agreement to install solar cells at a further nine of its facilities. In total, the company has installed solar cells with an expected annual production of 30 GWh – equivalent to household electricity for the whole of Mora.

In April, it was announced that Logicenters had begun construction of the Nordic region’s largest rooftop solar cell plant in Bålsta. This project is in line with the ambitions of Logicenters and NREP to lead development of a carbon-neutral property sector, reaching net zero as early as 2028.

The investment on renewable energy has grown during the autumn and the logistics property company has now signed an agreement to build solar cell plants at a further nine of its facilities. The new installations are expected to generate a total of 2.6 GWh per year, equivalent to electricity for around 520 households.

“As customers today look at their supply chain, we cannot ignore the impact on our environment. The carbon footprint of the property sector is too large to ignore. Sustainable construction, with a major investment in renewable energy, is our most important journey as a company. Logicenters is currently active in a total of five countries where it has installed solar cells with predicted annual generation of 30 GWh, enough to supply electricity to the entire city of Mora (6000 households). A figure that is constantly increasing.

“In addition to being climate-smart, solar energy is almost always profitable in relation to the lifetime of the panels. How quickly they pay for themselves depends on the cost of installation, which has risen in the wake of the energy crisis, and on the price of electricity, which is also on a steep upward trend. However, those who invest in solar cells get a fixed predictable electricity price which is appreciated,” says Jon Malmsten, solar energy expert at Logicenters.

All of the new solar cell plants are scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2023.

Logicenters builds solar park for Dagab

Logicenters is continuing its major investment in a CO₂-neutral property sector. Its cooperation with Dagab is now being strengthened through a solar park to be built at the new facility in Landskrona.

Last year, Logicenters signed a long-term lease for a period of 15 years with Dagab, the Axfood Group’s purchasing and logistics company, for a brand new national warehouse for fruit and vegetables. The new warehouse, with an area of just over 37,000 m², is located in Landskrona and will replace the current fruit and vegetable warehouse in Helsingborg.

On Thursday, a supplementary agreement was signed, announcing that the parties are expanding their existing cooperation on renewable energy. When Dagab moves into the premises in November, it will do so with 7,000 solar panels installed on the roof, covering an area of approximately 30,000 m².

“As a logistics developer, our vision is always to offer our tenants modern and sustainable facilities in strategic locations. We are delighted to be continuing our excellent collaboration with Dagab, with its new warehouse being built in accordance with our ambitious sustainability strategy,” says Matthias Kettelhoit, CEO at Logicenters.

One of Logicenters’ sustainability goals is to be fully climate neutral by 2028, with the Landskrona facility being built in accordance with this profile. The solar park will generate 3.9 MW of electricity when fully operational, which is equivalent to the annual household electricity used by 570 households or the electricity required to power an electric car on 400 laps of the world.

“What is particularly gratifying is that the solar park is being built in electricity zone 4, where the need for new electricity generation is greatest. Our new photovoltaic park will help to keep the facility’s electricity costs down along with the price of electricity in the area,” says Jon Malmsten, solar energy expert at Logicenters.

The new tenant is also delighted with the new solar park.

Logicenters and Dagab have already constructed the largest rooftop solar park in the Nordic region in Bålsta, north of Stockholm.

Logicenters now begins construction for Dagab in Landskrona

The groundbreaking ceremony has taken place for the facility Logicenters is developing for Axfood’s purchasing and logistics company Dagab. The 37,500 m² facility is located at Örja 1:23 in Landskrona and is scheduled for occupancy by the end of 2022.

In the spring of 2021, it was announced that Logicenters will develop another facility for Dagab. This facility is located west of the Landskrona South interchange in the city of Landskrona and will be the second facility in the cooperation between the parties. The property will serve as Dagab’s new national fruit and vegetable warehouse. In line with Logicenters’ ambitious sustainability goals, this facility will also be environmentally certified in accordance with BREEAM Very Good and there will also be the option to install solar panels on the roof.

The new facility is strategically located in southern Sweden, close to Helsingborg, Malmö and major motorways such as the E6, E20 and R17, used by around 40,000 cars daily. Logicenters is expanding its cooperation with Axfood’s purchasing and logistics company Dagab. The parties have signed an agreement for the development and leasing of a logistics facility in Landskrona, Skåne. The 37,500 m² facility is scheduled to be ready for Dagab to move into by the end of 2022.

Logicenters is continuing to expand its presence in the Öresund region. The logistics property company has now acquired a 96,000 m² site, just west of the highway intersection Landskrona Södra, from the city of Landskrona. It has simultaneously signed an agreement with Dagab, Axfood Group’s purchasing and logistics company, for the development and leasing of a 37,500 m² logistics facility to be built on the newly acquired site. This facility will become Dagab’s new national fruit and vegetable warehouse and is scheduled to be ready for occupation in the final quarter of 2022. The facility will be the second developed by Logicenters for Dagab. The first is a more than 100,000 m² logistics facility in Bålsta which is now under development.

The new facility is located at Örja 1:23. The area is a well-established logistics hub in southern Sweden, in close proximity to the E6 and E20 motorways. This will be Logicenters’ third investment in Landskrona in just a short period of time. The company’s other tenants here include Sunclass Airlines ApS, Nagel-Group and NA-KD. Including the development of Dagab’s new warehouse, Logicenters will own almost 85,000 m² of logistics space in Landskrona.

Logicenters signs lease with Nagel-Group in Landskrona

Europe’s largest food logistics company, Nagel-Group, will now move into Logicenters’ facility in Landskrona, Skåne. The parties have signed a 15-year lease for a 12,000 m² area in Logicenters’ existing property. Nagel-Group’s move is expected to take place during the latter part of this summer.

2020 saw the completion of Logicenters’ Kronan 1 modern logistics facility on Örjaleden at the Kronan Logistics Park in Landskrona, Sweden. The logistics property company has now signed a lease with German food logistics company Nagel-Group for approximately 12,000 m² of the property, which has a total area of around 24,000 m². Since its completion, Sunclass Airlines ApS has occupied the other part of the property.

We are confident that the facility’s strategic location is perfect for its operations, with good communication links to the whole of southern Sweden and northern Europe. There will also be an option to install solar cells on the roof, something which is in line with Logicenters’ ambitious sustainability goals.

Logicenters’ acquisition expands its presence in Skåne

Logicenters continues to strengthen its position in southern Sweden with the acquisition of a logistics facility in Landskrona in Skåne. The logistics property company has acquired e-commerce company NA-KD’s new 23,000 m² logistics warehouse. The e-commerce company will continue to operate from the property.

Logicenters is continuing to establish and consolidate its presence at strategic logistics hubs. It has now acquired NA-KD’s 23,000 m² logistics facility in Kronan Logistics Park, Landskrona. The e-commerce company, which recently moved into the property, will continue to operate from the site. It will also be possible to expand the facility by up to 9,000 m² in addition to the space currently leased by NA-KD.

Logicenters is flourishing and we are more than ready to help NA-KD optimise its logistics management and e-commerce by acquiring this property. This Monday marked the start of construction on the property that Logicenters is developing in Landskrona, Skåne. The modern logistics facility with solar cells on the roof is scheduled to be available to tenant Thomas Cook Travel Retail during 2020.

In February 2019, Logicenters announced that it is undertaking a development in Skåne for the first time. Ground has now been broken on the 24,000 m² logistics facility at Kronan Logistics Park in Landskrona. In addition to the property’s modern specifications, solar cells will be installed on the roof, in line with Logicenters’ strategy on sustainability and energy efficiency.

Present at the groundbreaking ceremony was Eva Sterner, Head of Development at Logicenters and Torkild Strandberg, the mayor of Landskrona. Representing Thomas Cook Travel Retail were Magnus Persson, Warehouse Logistics Manager, Mikaela Andersson, Project Manager Warehouse and Lars Bording, Director of Airshoppen.

A facility in Landskrona marks the first step into the Skåne market for real estate provider Logicenters. A modern logistics facility featuring roof-top solar panels is to be constructed at the Kronan business park. The 24,000 m² property is scheduled to be completed in 2020 and Thomas Cook Travel Retail will be the first tenant to move in.

As a market leader and developer of modern logistics facilities, Logicenters has a significant presence in logistics hubs in the Nordic region. The company is now establishing itself on the Skåne market via a new development on Företagsvägen in Kronan business park, an excellent logistics location in the Öresund region. The facility will be located in a very visible site along the E6 highway; companies such as Santa Maria and Oatly have been present in the business park for several years now.
